Wicking garden bed

Construction of our fist wicking garden bed. This one is experimental and supposedly temporary although the latter is likely to be taken with a large grain of salt.
Any way, the concept is to have large volume of water under the soil that will make its way up by capillary action. That way the plants should have steady most conditions while saving us a watering and it should be water efficient.
It was built over the past fortnight and today planted with seedlings. It still needs a clean on the outside but for a recycled materials need it looks pretty good I'd say.
Btw the long posts are left to allow for shade cloth or netting if required.
