Busy weekend

Last weekend was pretty busy. We had planned for a trencher to come Monday so we had to remove a few tiles and some weeds.
Peter started on Thursday and those tiles ended up being about 16 wheelbarrow loads. The amount of weeds was also more than expected so that took us half the day and it was hot!
That arvo we were exhausted but I still managed to go for a nice ride on Gucci.
On Sunday we  did some more work outside and then I had to go compete Gucci.
She was a bit distracted but did well considering it was her first outing.

Shortly after, neighbour Steve arrived with his tractor and auger to help us with a few postholes.
Unfortunately the auger disappeared into the ground bit too easily and got stuck. What was supposed to be an easy job ended up on a massive hole being dug to free the auger. A very sweaty job that made no one happy.

After that it was time for the poovac.
The horses were in the temporary backyard paddock and were up to mischief. From a distance, I saw something big and brown racing over our driveway and peter frantically waving at me to run.
Dot and Orenda had gotten out and were running onto the street. Peter lost his slippers and was chasing them on his socks, assisted by several neighbours.
It was quite hilarious in hindsight.
The horses thought it was a great game but we rather not repeat it.

Well, we didn't manage to put the posts in the holes and backfill them so of course we got treated to a brief but intense thunderstorm that night. The post holes are now filled with water. This is becoming a trend  :-(

Anyway it's nearly Easter weekend and I have no doubt that we won't be bored.....
